What size commercial solar PV system can Rossair install?

Rossair installs commercial solar PV systems for flat-roof and pitched-roof commercial buildings, from sub-50kW installations through to large rooftop arrays in the multi-hundred kW range. System size is driven by available roof area, structural capacity, and the building load profile. Roof surveys and indicative sizing are part of the initial proposal.

Does Rossair handle the DNO application for grid connection?

Yes. Rossair handles DNO applications and G98/G99 grid protection compliance in-house as part of every commercial PV installation. From survey to commissioned, grid-tied system, the process sits under one contractor and one programme.

What is a battery energy storage system (BESS) and does Rossair install them?

A BESS stores electricity (either from on-site PV or off-peak grid import) for later use, reducing peak demand charges and enabling resilience. Rossair installs BESS alongside solar PV and as standalone retrofits. See the BESS projects page for installation detail.

Is MCS certification required for commercial solar PV installations?

For systems up to 50kW, MCS certification is required to qualify for the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) and to meet most building warranty requirements. For larger commercial systems, MCS demonstrates installer quality regardless of SEG eligibility. All Rossair solar PV installations are MCS certified.
